J.R. joined Intersys as CEO in 2005 and focused the company on helping businesses and IT organizations succeed by discovering the value in their data. Since then, the company has grown from a handful of specialists with work rooted in Dell to a team of more than 100 IT professionals dedicated to projects around the world.

He brings to his team and clients more than 18 years of experience in developing IT solutions. Prior to joining Intersys, he played a key role in creating Dell’s formidable global data warehousing and metrics capabilities and in establishing Dell’s offshore development center in Moscow.

J.R. has also shared his expertise in the classroom as an instructor for more than three years in Stanford University’s Advanced Project Manager Program, delivering workshops on Portfolio Management, Converting Strategy into Action and Managing Global Complex Programs.

For Intersys clients to be successful, J.R. believes that IT projects must move beyond technical outputs to delivering real business outcomes. Intersys delivers success with experienced IT leaders who provide sharp focus and genuine counsel as a trusted advisor.

J.R. is on the board of directors of EMS software provider ESO Solutions, Inc. and a Partner at Sentient Ventures.  He is an active member of the Austin chapters of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).  For fun, his passion is motorcycling – any kind – dual sport, touring and city riding.  He dreams of taking a month’s long tour through Europe and the Middle East or South America. J.R. spends much of his time with his lovely wife and two, wickedly adorable children.
